Welcome!

Welcome to FrameWerks!

As our profile page points out, this is a community based on using other members' physical progress and efforts as motivational tools to stay on track with your own training.

Here are some ground rules that we ask of members thinking of joining:

• Permission must be granted prior to joining.
The main reason behind this is to weed out any illegitimate posters or 'trolls' intending to heckle or otherwise cause trouble for the people that actually wish to benefit from this community.

To request permission to join, post a comment to this entry after reviewing and accepting the remaining community rules.

• Positive feedback is strongly encouraged! Negative or malicious feedback is not permitted.
Nothing gets someones ass in gear like encouragement and positive feedback. Be sure to up everyone else's drive to improve by letting them know when they're doing something right.

Any offensive gestures to kill someones self-esteem will not be tolerated. We shouldn't have to explain why this is important.

• Any advocacy of behavior involving or emulating anorexia or bulimia will not be tolerated.
This is a fitness and health community. While weightloss may be a goal for some of our current and potential members, it is as a product of a healthy diet and physical activity. Any potentially dangerous measures such as the promotion of eating disorders are expressly prohibited.

• Tips and advice are also strongly encouraged!
If someones training program in need of a little tweaking, or they are simply in danger of injuring themselves through incorrect form, kindly let them know!

If a member is finding themselves at a roadblock in their progress and you might have a solution, don't hesitate to offer some new options! Your insight may just be the extra stepping stone that a member needs to reach their goal.

On the flip-side, let's try to keep our egos in check. If someone isn't in eminent physical danger and does not need advice, there's no need to press opinions on them.

• "Friends Only" posts are mandatory.
Please make sure to make all posts "Friends Only".

Regular exercise logs are mandatory.
While they are no longer mandatory, it is a 'best practice' habit to keep both an exercise and food log. Especially if you've never done so before... but again, it's not mandatory, just post when you can and understand that the more you post/keep track of everything... the more likely you're make progress.

A majority of the posts in this community will involve sharing details of what exercises were performed each session.

Examples:
1)
- stretch out
- speedrope/jumping jacks (10 minutes)
- pushups (5 sets of 10)
- 20 lb bicep curls (15, 12, 10, 10, 8)
- 30 lb overhead tricep extensions (15, 12, 10, 10, 8)
- crunches (25, 25)

2)
- stretch out
- 1 mile jog
- crunches (25, 25)
- leg lifts (30 per leg)
- lunges (30 per leg)

• Regular diet/food list updates are mandatory.
While they are no longer mandatory, it is a 'best practice' habit to keep both an exercise and food log. Especially if you've never done so before... but again, it's not mandatory, just post when you can and understand that the more you post/keep track of everything... the more likely you're make progress.

Eating healthy is just as important as physical training, if not more so. Given this fact, we'll be keeping our own logs here.

You won't have to explain all of the ingredients that went into a meal. A general description of what each meal, snack, etc. comprised of works just fine.

Sometimes we're hardkore and other times we come and go... health and fitness is a lifetime thing and sometimes our focus is stolen by other aspects of our lives... never be ashamed that you're starting up again... the point is to always come back, and never give up.

If you feel that this community can help you, please comment to request approval to join, stating that you understand and accept these rules!
